Meet Doctor Colasanti

Livonia’s smile expert

As a lifelong resident of the Detroit area, Dr. Colasanti began his journey to providing outstanding dental health care as a microbiology student at the University of Michigan. Prior to completing his undergraduate studies in microbiology, he was one of a select few who gained early acceptance to the University of Detroit School of Dentistry — the region’s most elite training program for clinical dentistry.

After finishing his studies at the University of Detroit, Dr. Colasanti knew it was essential for him to gain deep experience across the dental health field.  This lead him to practice as an associate and broaden his already expansive knowledge of dental care. In 1991, he realized his dream of owning a practice by purchasing a long-standing dental office in Livonia. 

In 1998, Dr. Colasanti completed his vision of creating an innovative dental space. He purchased and completely renovated his current location in Livonia at 15737 Farmington Road near Five Mile where he continues to grow his skills and technology with each new dental advancement.

Today, he continues evolving his practice by staying up-to-date on innovative dental procedures. His recent studies have been focused on the surgical placement of implants and associated bone grafting through training at the prestigious Zimmer implant Institute in Carlsbad California, the Engel Institute and the Detroit Dental Clinic Club. 

Most recently, Dr. Colasanti has been involved in the treatment of sleep apnea with oral appliances. Based on his bold and effective alternative to traditional CPAP therapy, Dr. Colasanti has given multiple presentations at St. Mary's Hospital and works closely with physicians from local hospitals to treat sleep apnea patients in need.

When he's not diving deep into the latest dental innovations, Dr. Colasanti enjoys spending time with his wife and two beautiful daughters, enhancing his own health through fitness and taking in fresh air by boating, fishing and skiing.
